Slow Mindful Yoga

Slow mindful yoga is a gentle yet very effective form of yoga. Each class begins preparing the mind and the body with simple breathing and centering exercises and gentle movements.

Then you will move onto the more dynamic part of the practice where you will enjoy a variety of poses and flowing movements. These include poses to build strength in the entire body, improve range of movement and release tension. Core strength is a focus in most classes. We learn to truly connect with our deep abdominals and then progressively strengthen the full range of core muscles.

At least one balancing pose is always included in the classes. Balances are challenging but are an essential life skill. You will finish your practice with a brief relaxation to absorb the benefits of the physical practice.
